SBI Asphalt is led by Debbie Bowman (Co-founder & President), whose roots in the asphalt industry go back decades. With a vision to build something more intentional, she set out to create a company focused not just on quality work, but on purpose-driven service.

Co-founder & Director of Operations, Brandon Shaffer, has been in the industry since high school, working summers, learning the trade from the ground up, and developing a sharp eye for layout and design. He has a natural ability to visualize parking lots with precision before the first line is even striped.

Brandon also brings a deeply personal perspective to ADA compliance. As a father to a special needs daughter, he understands firsthand that accessibility isn’t just a requirement, it’s essential to everyday life. That understanding shapes how SBI approaches every ADA project, ensuring work is done correctly, thoughtfully, and with real-world awareness.

Together, Debbie and Brandon built SBI Asphalt from the ground up, combining experience, precision and purpose to serve commercial clients across Bakersfield, Kern County and surrounding Areas.
